on Antiques In Art Nouveau Style
Before
the Art Nouveau style quickly faded it produced some of the most sensuous art
and antiques in the history of civilization.
On Thursday,
March 25th at 1:00 pm a slideshow will be presented on Antiques and
Arts of the Art Nouveau period.
The presentation will examine Japanese
works that inspired the style as well as European furniture, glass, and paintings.
While the movement was less widespread in American, some fine examples in silver
and other materials will be shown.
The program will run about one hour
and afterwards there will be refreshments, coffee, and informal discussions.
The
speaker will be antiques writer Bob Jackman.
OPTIONAL:
If you have any Art Nouveau items, bring them to the show, and Bob will be happy
to comment on it.
